Father Benedict Ssetuuma Jr. was a Catholic priest and professor at St. Mary’s National Major Seminary who perished in a car accident in 2021. He was passionate about the well-being of children. The Memorial Foundation was formed in memory of him and his passion by Rev. Fr. Christopher Tusiime in order to continue his mission of serving the children of Uganda.
It is our conviction that children should grow up fully integrated into the community. Currently, community resettlement services for orphans and other vulnerable children are non-existent in the Kikuube District. That is why we are so dedicated to building a complete care orphanage in this region – to help as many of the abandoned children who struggle there that we can.
